These small species of colorful birds come from Australia. They're called the Gouldian finch. In some birds stores they're available. Many people have them as pets. But some of the Gouldian finches as long as they're born out in the wild will manage to survive out in the wild. Anyway, here's the some of the differences of the two birds in this picture. The one with longer black tail feathers is a male. The one with shorter tail feathers is a female.
