The Thunderbirds are based on the Native American mythology. They are said to be the supernatural beings of strength and power. They're similar to phoenixes except that Thunderbirds create lightening and thunder. There is something mentioned that maybe one day whether the Thunderbirds can been seen, or not seen, they will come back to the Earth.
